Thanks to jD for the warning about the Bridge. Whew!
Here's my plan. BART over, take the N Judah to the park. Depending on the time we quit, taxi or NJudah OWL back to Powel/Market and then BART back on one of the hourly trips to Downtown Berkeley stop. Walk home.

I checked 511.org for info on Muni.
At 9:00PM I will wait for about 15 minutes at the sundial in front of the main entrance to the museum. Here is a an image of the sundial from SF Gate for your reference.
Anything else? I'll probably be around the museum/park for 3 hours or so. If anyone is really interested in coordinating travel, let me know. My plan can be tweaked.

beware the public transport, it may be packed that night.
if we're heading out when you are, we can definitely carpool
(we've gotten stranded by the city, in the city too often, so we're driving in)
not sure when we'll be there, but we will be there!
